Pineapple is one of Vietnam’s key tropical fruits, grown across the country with significant production in the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands.
Climate and soil conditions in these regions support cultivation for both fresh consumption and fruit processing.
Main varieties:
• MD2 – known for its sweetness and aroma, often used for fresh export.
• Queen & Cayenne – stable in quality and widely used for juice, purée, and concentrate production.
Harvest season: mainly from March to August, with lower yield during September to November.
Great Farmer works with pineapple farms in Vietnam, focusing on areas with suitable soil and climate for commercial production.
Fruit is selected based on Brix level, color, size, and maturity, suitable for both fresh and processed use.
